Taras Shevchenko National University of Luhansk was founded in 1921. The educational process of the institution covers more than 300 specialties and professions.
The University’s training areas are as follows: culture and arts; history, international relations, and socio-political sciences; pedagogy and psychology; Ukrainian philology and social communication, economics and business; natural sciences; trade, service technology, and tourism; foreign languages, etc.
The doctoral and postgraduate research programmes, which have been functioning in Taras Shevchenko National University since 1965, are aimed at training the highly-qualified academic staff.
