Writer

Lydia Soroka (real name Orobtsova Lydia Alekseevna) was born in the village of Zakotne, Novopskovsky district, lives in the village of Milove, Milovsky district. Writer, member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine. He writes prose and poetry. Delegate to the 10th Congress of Writers of Ukraine in 2018. The author's books are placed in libraries of Luhansk, Donetsk, Lviv and Chernivtsi regions, in private libraries of residents of America, Canada, the Netherlands, as well as OOS fighters on the front line in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

The first book by the writer "Yevshan-potion" was published 18 years ago. Then the books "Borrow from the Wings of the Wings", "My Gray-Eyed Love", "Try to Go Around Destiny", "And Only Heaven Above Honor" and others were written. The books cover stories of incredible love, the fate of people, the events of the war in Afghanistan, the war in eastern Ukraine.

In addition, Ms. Lydia is a master of decorative and applied arts of Luhansk region in embroidery. Embroiders with beads and a cross. The works were exhibited: in the art gallery of the Luhansk Historical Museum in Luhansk, in the art gallery in Severodonetsk, in the Milovsky district museum of local lore.

Ms. Lydia regularly participates in events of district, regional and national levels: district festival of traditional and modern Ukrainian culture "Soul of my Milovshchyna", regional review-competition "Luhansk region - the dawn of Ukraine", regional festival "Luhansk region is Ukraine", All-Ukrainian festival. folk art contest "Slobozhansky Spas", etc.

The talented writer also actively participates in the public life of the district, holds meetings in the areas of hostilities with the defenders of Ukraine, is engaged in volunteer activities, helps the Ukrainian military.

Awarded the diploma of the Emerald Lyre Award of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the nomination "Fiction"; diploma of the fourth "Knigofest" in Zhovkva, in the competition "Best Book" in 2019, thanks to the Department of Mass Communications of Luhansk Regional State Administration, diploma of Milovka district state administration and district council.

Creating is inspired by love for Ukraine and the people who inhabit it.
