Church of the Ascension

In the border village of Prosyane in the Markiv region, there is an ancient Orthodox church built in 1781, which claims a place in the list of cultural heritage sites in need of state protection.

Despite the existing destruction, the church in Prosyany may well become an object for subject historical and artistic research. The architectural style of the building is dominated by Ukrainian Baroque. Elegant windows in a beautiful frame of half-columns and cornices indicate that the creation of the temple worked real masters.
