Peculiarities of the country

1. Libya was a very prosperous country, especially according to African standards. However, the revolution of 2011 put an end to Libya's prosperity and, despite the fact that many years have passed since then, the State, abandoned half a century ago in its development, is still unable to recover from the shock.

2. There are often strong winds in Libya, which the local population calls "gibli" - they bring air to the coast from deserts, heated to +50 degrees Celsius.

3. In Libya, it is customary to eat twice – an abundant breakfast and an equally abundant lunch, but Libyans don’t have dinner. Many Libyan restaurants are closed in the evenings because no one goes there.
