Fomenko Mykola Ivanovych

World polyathlon champion, judge of national and international categories, the head of the Federation of Polyathlon of Ukraine, Honorary Citizen of the city of Rubizhne

Born on October 27, 1943, had a higher education. He began his career in 1962 at the Rubizhne Chemical Plant “Zoria” as a carpenter, then from 1962 to 1965, he served in the Soviet Army. About 40 years, since 1972 he has been working in physical education and sports. For 25 times, he fought for the title of the champion of Ukraine among veterans in polyathlon. He is the winner of the Third Republican Spartakiad among veterans in 400 m and 800 m running.
