Tyshkivska Shrine is a wonderland of the Luhansk hinterland

22

The church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the village of Tyshkivka, built in 1905, is a perfect example of the sacred architecture of the Ukrainian Art Nouveau period. The church is a vivid example of the combination of architectural styles of the Art Nouveau era in Ukraine.

Several styles coexist in the church's architecture: hexagonal windows, typical of Ukrainian Art Nouveau, and porches decorated with Moscow temples of the 17th century, paired windows and decorative columns at the corners - an introduction from Byzantine architecture. Externally, the octagonal house with arched windows and octagonal crosses on the shutters in architecture resembles a Latin temple.
According to an excerpt from the order of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine № 1001/0 / 16-08 of September 24, 2008, in accordance with Articles 5 and 14 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Cultural Heritage", the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius is entered in the State Register of Immovable Memories. objects of cultural heritage of Ukraine by category of local significance.
